A series of students, guided by SpeeD professors, participated in the Student Scientific Communication Sessions – May 2017, where they won important awards.

– Horia – Alexandru Călin, First honourable mention (out of 16 participants) at the EAII Department session with the paper “Communication between wireless nodes with the ZigBee protocol”. Coordinator: Corneliu Burileanu

– Andreea – Maria Florea, First prize (out of 31 participants) at the DCAE Department session with the paper “3D scanner with infrared optical detection”. Coordinators: Dragoș Burileanu and Șerban Mihalache

– Alexandru – Lucian Georgescu, Third prize  (out of 31 participants) at the DCAE Department session with the paper “SpeeD’s DNN Approach to Romanian Speech Recognition”. Coordinators: Horia Cucu and Corneliu Burileanu

– Ana – Antonia Neacșu and Şerban Vădineanu, First prize  (out of 16 participants) at the TST Department session with the paper “Autonomous system for performing dexterous, human-level manipulation tasks as a response to external stimuli in real time”. Coordinators: Corneliu Burileanu and Horia Cucu

– Cătălin – Laurenţiu Vişan and Vlad Niculescu, Second honourable mention  (out of 31 participants) at the DCAE Department session with the paper “Electronic system for marking the roll”. Coordinators: Horia Cucu
