The second edition of the SpeeD “Speech&Language” Workshops will start next Friday (22nd February). The workshops are an introduction into Spoken Language Technology and are intended to familiarize 3rd year students with this research field. The students will gain general (compute science) knowledge and speech-specific knowledge on:

• Operating Systems (Linux) in a workshop held by Drd. Dragos Draghicescu
• Object-Oriented Programming (in Java) in a workshop held by Lect. Horia Cucu
• Speech Processing (in Matlab) in a workshop held by Lect. Andi Buzo
• Spoken Language Technology in a course held by Prof. Corneliu Burileanu.

The series of workshops will conclude with an Automatic Speech Recognition workshop held by Lect. Horia Cucu and Lect. Andi Buzo.
